By accessing or using NeuroBrowse, you agree to:

• ✅ Terms of AI providers you choose to use

If you don't agree, please don't use NeuroBrowse.

2. Beta Testing Program

2.1 Beta Status

NeuroBrowse is currently in BETA TESTING (as of October 2025):

• The software may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features
• Features may change without notice
• We're actively developing and improving the product
• Feedback is encouraged and appreciated
• Beta access is limited to 50 users maximum

2.2 Beta Participation

During beta:

• Free Access: Beta testers receive free usage (up to 20 summaries/day)
• Feedback: We may request feedback via email or surveys
• No Guarantees: Service availability is provided "as-is" during beta
• Changes: Features, limits, or terms may change as we iterate
• Termination: We reserve the right to end beta testing at any time

3. Use of Service

3.1 Permitted Use

You may use NeuroBrowse to:

• Summarize web content for personal or professional use
• Test features and provide feedback during beta
• Use across multiple AI models (GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity)

3.2 Prohibited Use

You may NOT:

• ❌ Share, sell, or distribute your beta access
• ❌ Use for illegal purposes or to violate others' rights
• ❌ Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the extension
• ❌ Attempt to bypass usage limits or restrictions
• ❌ Use to harass, spam, or harm others
• ❌ Violate AI providers' terms of service
• ❌ Automate or script usage to abuse the service
• ❌ Use to scrape or harvest data at scale
• ❌ Resell or commercialize access without permission

4. API Keys & Third-Party Services

4.1 Bring Your Own Keys (BYOK)

NeuroBrowse uses a BYOK model:

• You Provide: API keys for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, and/or Perplexity
• You Pay: The AI provider directly for API usage
• We Don't See: Your API keys or usage
• You Control: Which models to use and when

4.2 Third-Party Terms

By using NeuroBrowse with third-party AI services, you agree to their terms:

4.3 API Costs

You understand and agree:

• API usage incurs costs charged by AI providers
• You are responsible for all API costs
• We have no control over pricing or billing
• Monitor your usage to avoid unexpected costs
• During beta: Free tier (we cover costs for up to 20 summaries/day)

5. Free Beta Tier

5.1 Beta Subsidy

During beta testing, NeuroLayer Labs provides:

• Up to 20 free AI summaries per day per user
• Using NeuroLayer Labs API keys (not yours)
• Powered primarily by Gemini Flash (free tier)

5.2 Limitations

Free tier limitations:

• Maximum 50 beta users total
• 20 summaries per day per user
• May be modified or discontinued at any time
• No guarantee of availability
• Subject to AI provider rate limits

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our IP

NeuroBrowse, including extension code, design, brand name, logo, and documentation, are owned by NeuroLayer Labs and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

6.2 Your IP

You retain all rights to:

• Content you summarize
• Your API keys and credentials
• Feedback you provide (but we can use feedback to improve the product)

7. Disclaimers & Limitations

7.1 "AS-IS" Service

NeuroBrowse is provided "AS-IS" and "AS AVAILABLE":

• We make no warranties about reliability, accuracy, or uptime
• Beta software may have bugs or unexpected behavior
• We don't guarantee AI summary quality
• Service may be interrupted or modified

7.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are NOT liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to $100 or the amount you paid us (currently $0)
• We are NOT liable for third-party services (AI providers)
• We are NOT liable for data loss, API costs, or business losses

8. Account & Access

8.1 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your API keys secure
• Maintaining confidentiality of your credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us of unauthorized access

8.2 Account Termination

You may terminate your account anytime by uninstalling the extension or emailing support@neurobrowse.io

We may terminate accounts for violation of these Terms, abuse or misuse of the service, or at our discretion during beta testing.

9. Updates & Modifications

9.1 Service Changes

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue features
• Update the extension with new versions
• Change usage limits or restrictions
• End beta testing at any time

9.2 Terms Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Updated date will be shown at the top. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes means acceptance.

10. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States. Before filing any legal action, email us at legal@neurobrowse.io and we'll attempt to resolve within 30 days.
